new mix for summer 2009! this one is pretty fun, but also there's some questionable moments that, in the spirit of matthew "let's all make mistakes" herbert, i've decided to leave in, even though it kind of bugs me. i could do a better one but it's too warm out to be inside struggling with pirated mixing software. also, if debra winger movies have taught us anything, it's the importance of "letting go."

i just saw the wrestler for the first time the other day on the plane home from england, and i can attest that it is as gritty & tender as everyone said it was. also it's nice to see darren aronofsky adopting a "less is more" approach after showboating his way through requiem for a dream. what's more remarkable, though, is that for a movie where half the cast is costumed only in speedos, it's surprisingly unsexy. or maybe the non-airline version is sexier?
as for john enos, i have no idea who he is but he's got "red shoe diaries" written all over him. (i just checked wikipedia, and sure enough . . .)
